Presonus Firestudio Mobile

I have been thinking about getting a recording interface, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Presonus Firestudio Mobile.  Basically I just want something with a few inputs so I can start mocking up tracks for my next cd.  I can’t realistically go into the studio for a while yet, but I have some ideas bouncing around in my head, and I would like to start piecing them together and see how it all sounds.

I am on a Mac and will be using Logic Pro for my DAW, though I am also open to moving to Reaper if Logic proves to illogical. I will just be recording myself and overdubbing things, so two inputs should be fine, though if friends come over and we need more inputs I have a cheap external preamp I can break out.  It will just be acoustic instrunents, and I already have monitors and mics.

I had initially decided on the Apogee Duet, but this Mobile Pre is cheaper, and folks online are saying it sounds great.  In the end I think any of these interfaces in the 300-500 dollar range are probably going to sound similar to a recording hobbyist such as myself, and that if I want to invest in anything beyond that it should go to room treatment.

If anyone has any thoughts, suggestions, or has tried something else they think is better let me know.
