I am available for lessons in the Portland area. These can be tailored toward the individual's goals and needs. I firmly believe that people should be excited about the music they are learning, and I like to tailor the lesson towards the student's goals, while sneaking in some technique and other important things. I teach basic fingerpicking as well as general beginning guitar. Getting more celtic specific possible topics include arranging traditional tunes for fingerstyle guitar, backing up celtic music, as well as how to approach ones tuning of choice. This can also be expanded into a workshop setting. If interested drop me an email and we'll talk.
I am also available for house concerts, weddings and private engagements, both in Portland and abroad. I play both solo guitar and band gigs. If you are interested in a traditional band line up of fiddles, flutes, accordian, and rhythm guitar let me know. I regularly play with some great celtic musicians in Portland that are available for gigs.
